Saw a newspaper cameraman making the obligatory “Summer is going to be hot” photo.

I could not believe that I actually saw a Japanese person opening a Dr. Pepper, a beverage assumed to have been purchased on their own accord. I wondered who that one person here was who bought it, aside from the foreign community.

Nice to see you got your Leica back!

Yes, I hope that you gave her your card.
I went to the beach photo show. I liked it, but unfortunately I was in a bad mood (for entirely photo/Nikon/Shinjuku-unrelated reasons) and maybe couldn’t fully appreciate it. Perhaps I’ll go for a second look.
If your MP is still up on blocks then sell it to some fondler and get a well made camera. (The Canon P is dirt cheap these days.) But if you want tough, then of course the (original) Canon F-1, as used by the best-looking photographers, as any fule kno.
Oh, wow, “Tokyo Compression Revisited” is out! http://www.peperoni-books.de/tokyocompressionrevisiteden0.html

Oh, that’s your MP; so you did manage to buy it back from the pawnbroker. But you know, you’re just going to have to find a way to make more money from this site: http://blakeandrews.blogspot.com/2011/06/maybe-partying-will-help.html

I do like my MP. And actually- – - I do have an original “pristine” Canon F-1 at home. It is the most solid camera I own. The FD lenses though feel like they belong on a Konica or Cosina SLR.

The lenses for my Konica SLR feel good to me.
But if the FD lenses feel trashy, you’re using the wrong Canon FD lenses. (The “new” FD lenses, perhaps?) My (breechmount) lenses are solid. (Unfortunately the 35/2 is several times the weight and volume of the same company’s rangefinder 35/2.)
