Day four SUPER TOKYO FASHION EXTREME
Now admittedly, I am a dude who owns every issue of “Kimono Princess”, a magazine devoted to retro kimonos that comes out at agonizingly long intervals. Kimonos are not something I ever want to wear, but sure like to photograph when the chance arises.
In the elevator a woman stepped in wearing this fantastic obi:

After arriving at the gallery Nao was there and her friend Aya, who had an Olympus M-1 (yes, that’s right an M-1, not an OM-1) and her special edition Ninagawa Mika (signed!) camera strap.

The rare Olympus M-1 is worth between 50 and 70 thousand yen, a common good OM-1 (basically the same camera) can be found for 15,000 yen. She is probably one of the only people in the world who has one as a daily shooter.
But the greatest get-up today was worn by Aya’s son Youtaro with his Hermes Leica MP t-shirt:

And remember that little panda sticker on my digital camera? It is a hit with one year olds.
Except he kept calling it a “Wan Wan” (puppy).

OK, that obi rocks. As does the t-shirt.
