Last thing about the infobar2
Despite not yet getting a 2-Gig card (the size of my pinky fingernail!), I have messed around some with the 2MP camera in my new phone. And what better way to try out a new camera than to point it at friends who have already gotten used to countless requests to ok don’t move just stay like that ok YEAH:
Mami:

and

Wakako, looking less like her current 22, and a lot more like 16, her age when we first met in 2001.
This is not a technical test of the phone’s optical capabilities. And this is not a technical review. However! The autofocus takes a second to latch on to what it thinks ought to be in focus (like the tables behind Mami) but the trade-off is probably worth it. The trade-off is that the camera is part of a totally rad green phone.
And if you still would like to see other pictures of attractive women (this is the internet I guess) I might suggest This Picture and These Pictures by Mai Tanaka.
Mai is slightly featured in the latest issue of Phat Photo and is great with a Pentax 67 with the coveted (sorely by me) 90mm 2.8 portrait lens.
On my site you will find a new gallery called “visitors” that includes a few more photos of visitors (40 total) that were posted here last week. How many do you know? If your photo is not here it is not due to social standing or my personal preference, but instead my intuition concerning how you might not like to be included in that selection of photographs online. If you really want your photo included for whatever reason, let me know.

I did some contact sheets over the weekend and from them scanned a few photos to put into my Ongoing Diary. (10×12 prints are planned over winter break)
Whoa why I am I such a pretentiously wordy jerk in my Flickr Profile? WHO KNOWS?
Other than that, life is just going on. I won’t be headed home this winter for Christmas, and instead will probably be out in Tokyo every day shooting. On the 3rd I will be at the Imperial Palace for the Emperor’s New Year greeting with my camera surrounded by many elderly Japanese with flags, and dozens of other foreigners with their cameras.
It is going to be great.
Oh.
My.
Goodness.

After 3 years with the same phone, I finally got a new one- the Infobar2. The woman who helped me at the AU shop said that this is a limited run model, with green being the most rare. Does this make me cool? Who freaking cares it comes with Pac-Man and is coated with a textured Fuji-Film color green paint.
