Maybe a worse sound to hear

Took my camera in and got it checked out in Ginza today. What I heard though was something almost worse than the clatter of my Leica to the floor and that was hearing that the inside chassis became warped by the shock, and accurate focusing is not possible. But they can replace it (the frame, not the camera). For this much:

My first car, an ‘83 Ford Thunderbird cost the same amount that I will pay to get my camera working again; roughly the same cost as a decent used M6.
A Happy Weekend To You All !
Looks like you are getting a lot of photoshop practice these days, huh?

The only (slight) consolation is that had it been an M8, I doubt it would have even been able to fix. Of course if it were a D-70 then it would be cheaper to just get a new one. Also, this happened at a good time- I was saving up for a lens which costs 130,000 yen so I’ll have the money, jut not the Summicron. Damn.

under $1,000. (Apparently, using a “less than” symbol will truncate a comment!)

Just so I can see if it happens again, I will now use another “less than” symbol, followed by test type: > test type

Okay, that didn’t work at all. I guess I’m just an idiot.

I appreciate your classy use of the lens flare.
