I’ve been shooting with an old Argus 110 format camera and by “shooting” I mean I ran a roll (cartridge?) through it. It takes over a week to get the prints back and some scans will be posted here within the next few days. The guy at the Fuji-Color DPE shop said the prints will be smaller than usual and I am hoping that not only are they smaller, but have rounded corners and are all textured like the prints were back when I was a kid. Ever seen those? Hold the pictures just right to the light and you will see shiny high-lighted ridge-structures.

There is actually a bill in the state legislature pushing to make this the state song. Seriously. I know not many who read this saw my Nebraska exhibition, but hot damn those photos are the opposite (antidote?) to this music video. It’s like a horriffic still-on- fire-a-week-later car accident (with the burning bodies of nuns and single mothers, puppies, and orphans) composed entirely of stock VHS footage from a local news station put to the worst kind of twangy country pop music. It is like the America We Stand As One video but serious. And shot in someone’s front yard. Sung by the local news anchor. With stock footage of churches, husker fans, and a lyric about watching eagles take flight when the video (painfully) clearly shows the said eagle taking off from a dog carrier set in the back of someone’s pick-up truck. . .
