What’s this? A new lens? Oh, I shouldn’t have.

No, I really shouldn’t have.

The Cosina made Voigtlander badged Nikon mount 40mm f2 lens is well made, compact, and I like the lens hood on it.

I love her

Kaji Meiko:

Her music has all those mexican souding horns in the background and wicky wack guitars with lots of 70s strings and it (and by extension, she) is awesome. I love her, and by Love I mean “Want to take her picture”, which is often the same thing (except in the previous posts) but I don’t even know where she lives. That is how things turn out.
Tonight I bought the album above (the one of the two pictured here that does not have the better cover (what?)) at a record store in ameyokocho in Ueno, a shop near the station and under the Yamanote line. If you dig that enka music at the end of the Kill Bill movies, then you would like her because she is the one who sang those songs. Mad thanks to Mike for remembering her name as we entered the shop.

If you know me well you have probably heard me also say something like “I love Matsushita Yuki”, and that statement still stands. One other lady whom I would like to meet would be Koike Eiko who I have a crush on but for her wit and sense of humor more than the (ahem) two reasons that she is known for.

More regular posts soon? Yes I am sure. Will they be interesting or even clearly written? Now you know that won’t happen.

But yeah, Meiko Kaji sings some good songs along to some great music.
