I’m really interested in making photographs about photographing, and photographing life which for me is often about photographing.

I agree with the violence vs the nudity thing. Kind of like the whole Bush vs Gore election of 2000. (Bada-bing) I know nothing of this new Rome show, but it sounds good, not because of the nudity but because it is on the BBC and so it must be well done. I remember a BBC show that a history teacher in high school showed us, I thinkt he title was "Connections" and it blew me away. There was also a crusades documentary hosted by one of the Monty Python guys that we were shown.
One thing I have noticed here in Japan, some of the diaper commercials on tv feature babies not wearing diapers, something that actually happens in real life, but never on american TV. I am not saying this out of a desire to see full frontal baby nudity, but rather to say that if that was to be shown on TV in america (or at least Nebraska) folks would be outraged and again want to "Save the children" from such immorality".

You know we have a show on BBC2 called "Rome" just started 2 weeks ago, shows full frontal
female and male nudity. That airs at 21:00.

We don't see a problem with it, it's in keeping with the atmosphere of the age and it's not
considered obscene. If anything, the parents try to keep kids from watching violence rather
than sex. Which I agree with.

Its a cultural difference.
