I bought a new lens

The Cosina Voigtlander 28mm 1.9 lens is a little larger than the previous one I was using (the f3.5 model) but with the rapidgrip it balances out just fine. I was set on getting either the Voigtlander Ultron 28 (40,000 yen used, 70,000 new), or the new Zeiss Biogon (90,000 yen new). The clerk at Map Camera said that the new Biogon is the more contrasty lens between the two. I am a fan of the currently under-rated concept of Shadow Detail in photogtaphs, so I went with the Ultron. The price was also a factor. The one I picked up has some very slight paint loss on the barrel, and this is why it was priced a few thousand yen cheaper than the silver version of the same lens next to it on the shelf. I do like silver lenses though. A sillver lens (and camera body) would show up better in the reflections in photographs that I might take near windows or mirrors. You folks with a sharp eye (either one will do) will notice that my M6 had no trouble showing up in the mirror in the picture.
