The next time you are in Lincoln Nebraska, swing down to Gomez Art Supply and take a look into the Tugboat Gallery. If you are there now you can see work by Austin and Nic Skiles.
Also Justin has a new site. I heard his band on the radio in Lincoln, and what I am sure was his voice in the song that they played. Michael also has moved his site, and so did Jake. Apparently Canadians don’t like Americans using .ca for their web spaces. Oh man Joey Lynch has some rough scans/pictures of his work online too. You really ought to see them up close in person, as computers do not do the work justice.
So lets forget all about the apartment thing. I hate having ot make decisions of that magnitude, especially ones between two such evenly matched (in some sort of point system) places. I have decided that I will indeed move, probably after my contract comes up for renewal in march. My next place will be a step up in the ways that I would want it to be. Which is something a lot like my current place only 10 minutes closer to a station. To be fair though, the distance does not bother me at all- a 20 min walk is nothing.. but when it is spread out between three large hills with at times a 10% grade, and has only houses on each side of the street– those are the parts I don’t care for.
anyways- I am indeed back in Japan- it is humid and muggy- imagine stepping out of a long hot shower in a musty bathroom, and then that same air just being everywhere you go outside .
Other than that I can’t complain. I am in Japan, a place where I need and want to be. And there is this entire set-up that allows me to continue to be here. That is something I need to work to maintain. This means following along with the wisdom of Gaman (putting up with things) and Ganbaru (trying my best). Knowing when to do those as well as when to try something else in a situtation is the key. If this does not make sense then that is probably due to the jet lag that starts to seep in at 4:30pm and sheesh I am going to go to sleep now holy crap I am tired..
