an embarkment
Tomorrow I will be on a plane headed back to Nebraska. A lot has happened since I came to Japan last August, stuff I won’t ever write about here, despite the fact that it would make this journal far more interesting. Therefore an aspect of returning home, even for 3 weeks, is to find out how you changed and how your town changed. See where to go from here. I do think that the “where” is Japan, at least for the next 5 years or so. Hopefully longer.
Anyway, this blog might not get updated too often for the next 3 weeks but then again I just might post some old photos here that I have saved on my computer at home.
Tonight I need to get to packin’. The big thing I am concerned/worried about is travelling with all my photo gear. I am taking just 3 cameras and I have a nice Domke F2 bag to haul them in, but the issue is if the film is all going to fit. I want to think that 80 rolls will cover it, plus 30 or so 120 film rolls I bought. However I have always found better to take more film than you think you are going to need when you are loading your camera bag. Guess I’ll go pick up one more 20 count box of Fuji presto…
