Since he was nice enough to leave a comment in one of my previous posts, I would like to now lead you to Adam’s journal. For another take on the in-japan thing please head on over to the website of Senshu Matsudo’s newest, dredlockiest intern, Brett. —> www.skeetskeetskeetskeet.com
If anyone asks me tomorrow what I did today they will probably be presented with about 50 workprints that I spent the past 12 hours making. Those 50 were the “good” ones that were the result of about 180 sheets of 8×10 paper that I processed from 9am to 9pm. When I make workprints I try to use one sheet per negative but I think the average comes to about 1.7 sheets per frame. Usually I can use a zero filter for about 30 seconds, and then another 25 seconds with no filter and come up with a decent enough print to let me know how the picture looks.
An in-house darkroom is indeed a wonderful thing. Man, am I tired…
For their musical contributions to today’s printing extravaganza, I would like to thank: Eminem, Metallica, Tool, Johnny Cash, Astrud Gilberto, D.J NuMark, the Beastie Boys, Smokey and Miho, Michael Jackson, RJD2, Dr. Dre, Ugly Duckling, Blackalicious, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Modest Mouse, an Unplugged Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Yoko Kanno, and Handsome Boy Modeling School.
For the first time in about 3 or 4 years I sat in front of a blank canvas with a paint brush in my hand. I have been concentrating so much on photography that I thought I should take Masako-san, the kindergarten art teacher, up on her offer to use her studio/childrens art classroom to paint. Not knowing what to paint, I took a hint from the 5th grade girl next to me and decided to do a self portrait as well.

Still needs some work as I am only about an hour into it so far.
If you like paintings, but for some reason you like GOOD ones, then by all means go and check out Jake’s site. He is amazing.
