worst thing you can do?
“the worst thing an artist can do is talk about their work”
-Robert Frank
“if it is not street photo, snap shoot, leica photo and travel photo, how would you define your photography? maybe you dont want to creat any category for your photography??

what interests you the most? ”

The most interesting thing is the transformation of the world in photography, not the refinement of it.
You are taking a segment of life- which is three dimensional and flows in real time- and taking from that a depiction of how the camera saw it all and putting that image on paper. The relationships that are created, the forms they make, they help enunciate the possible meanings of the image.
My photographs are not about Japan, nor are they about my camera or traveling. In a sense they are products of my travel, and being in Japan. Of course they are certainly a product of my camera.
They are the results of my interests about Photography. This is only a beginning. I try to be constantly looking, photographing and struggling with it all. As long as photographs are about Questions and not Answers, I am excited.
There was an quote on the wall in the University of Nebraska’s photo room that said (and I forgot who said it):
“You will never know if you are going to be good or not. What’s left? What’s left is work.”
