On Friday night Kevin (the witch) and Greg (the monkey) and I (sans costume) went to a halloween party at a small english school for children taught by the mother of one of our jr. high students.
The reactions to seeing a grown man in a cute monkey suit differed on account of where we were at the time. At school for example, Greg’s adorable curly tail was the fixation of many 7th graders’ hands- it was amazing that he made it home with it still attached. Inside the train they (ahem, WE) stood out among all the suits and school uniforms. I would like to think that they did their part to encourage communication between family members at the dinner table that night. It was kind of like a public service or something.
The best part was their total lack of embarassment. They acted completely casual, to the point where it was almost creepy but still quite funny. The picture on the left shows Greg reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in a seat reserved for handicapped and pregnant people.
I was amazed with the stunning beauty of those two fine pieces of man. Any chance a lonely girl like me could make a love connection?
