Just in case any of the three people who might read this worry about the combonation of an earthquake and my safety, I offer this clumsy little panorama to ease your fear. My apartment is in the second-from-the-left photo. I live on the first floor of a fairly new building, and there is nothing around which could fall and cause a problem, unless you count my cameras being shaken off of my table. Hah- but thats why I keep them on a low shelf a few inches off of the floor. Pretty clever.

But, that’s probably partially because I’ve been experiencing all of it too - the things falling off tables and the swaying buildings. Pretty scary! At least you’ve got a field to run to! i’m surrounded by tall apartments, powerlines, and trees!! Help!
