Not done for the Money

Last night in shinjuku there was a crowd of people in a semi-circle between two escalators on the side of the station that has a GAP across the street from a pachinko parlor called Green Peas. In front of that half circle audience was a smooth white board and some rag-taggy street performers. I was expecting something like the hip-hop dancers over in yoyogi park. I was wrong.
There were too many people around to see what the performers were actually doing- and so while my friend and I started to walk up the stairs (as opposed to waiting in line to use the escalator for our ascension needs) I looked down to see this guy in a white tank top with long dread-locked hair do his swagger/in the zone kind of walk up to the makeshift stage. I expected to see him drop back to one hand, jump back and flip upside down to spin on his head, but instead he busted out a whole new style of moves- WITH HIS FEET.

He was down with the hardcore tap-dancing scene.

He was also impressing the young ladies sitting in the front row of the audience with his tap prowess. I would certainly consider his skillz enough to pay a whole lot of billz.
